I started working in the animal care field in the early 2000s but have had a lifelong passion for the care, comfort and conservation of both wild and domesticated creatures. (I remember my dad saying I “had a way with animals” from a very early age.)

In my off time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, rock hunting, photography, music, reading and learning, and dragon boat paddling/racing. I have also recently discovered the fun of searching for beach glass.
Currently sharing my home with one cat named Thea that adopted me when her previous people just left her to her own devices outside. We’re both very happy with her decision!
